Nice to meet you!

I’m Fernanda Tarriba, a clinical health psychologist specializing in fertility and reproductive mental health.

Endometriosis entered my life like a wave that changed everything.

The pain, the uncertainty, and the long road to diagnosis arrived without clear answers… and with them came a deep emotional weight: grieving the body I thought I knew, facing anxiety about the future, and navigating a medical system that often left me feeling unheard.

It was through psychotherapy that I found a space of genuine relief: a place to pause, feel held, and begin to make sense of what I was going through. That experience lit a path I hadn’t anticipated. I went on to specialise in clinical health psychology, with a focus on reproductive and women’s health and couples therapy, and spent years working in fertility clinics supporting individuals and couples through assisted reproduction and its emotional complexity.

Living this journey from the inside shaped not only my professional expertise, but the way I show up in every session with genuine understanding, deep compassion, and a commitment to making sure no one has to face these challenges alone.

Fertility challenges are never just medical. They carry emotional weight that deserves professional attention — and that’s exactly what I’ve dedicated my career to providing

Today, I support people going through infertility, relationship difficulties, IVF, pregnancy loss, gamete donation, and the complex emotional reality of building a family under difficult circumstances.

What they share about my work

A serene still life symbolizing emotional recovery after pregnancy loss, with a single tall, sand-colored candle in a matte ceramic holder placed on a light wood tray. Surrounding it are three smooth, dark river stones and a folded, soft gray linen cloth, subtly suggesting comfort and grounding. In the back, a faintly visible abstract watercolor painting in muted blues and warm neutrals hangs on a white wall, its shapes loosely evoking a horizon. Warm, late-afternoon sunlight streams in from the right, creating gentle, elongated shadows and a calm, contemplative mood. Photographic realism, eye-level composition with shallow depth of field, emphasizing tenderness, quiet resilience, and non-dramatic emotional support related to fertility challenges, without people or medical elements.

Durante mi tratamiento de FIV encontré un espacio seguro para llorar, enojarme y planear. Sentí acompañamiento real, sin juicios ni falsas promesas sobre resultados.

A minimalist workspace symbolizing evidence-based fertility psychology, showing a slim, silver laptop open on a light birch desk with the screen displaying an abstract, softly blurred brain-like pattern made of overlapping pastel shapes in blue, coral, and green. Beside the laptop, a tidy stack of bilingual notepads, one labeled with a subtle EN/ES color band code instead of words, sits next to a neutral-toned ceramic pen holder with fine-tipped pens. A small succulent in a white pot adds organic texture. Gentle overcast daylight from the left creates even illumination with delicate reflections on the laptop frame. Photographic realism, clean and modern aesthetic, shot from a slightly elevated three-quarter angle, conveying professionalism, clarity, and calm support around fertility-related thoughts and emotions.
